Decoding the Balls System: How Fantasy Points Are Earned and Lost in Wicket Frontier

Welcome to the Balls System at Wicket Frontier, where every cricketing action adds or subtracts points from your fantasy team! To succeed in fantasy cricket, you need to understand how your players score points based on their real-world performances. From hitting sixes to taking wickets, every action on the field can affect your fantasy standings.

Here’s how it works:

Scoring Actions:

Runs Scored: Every run a player scores counts for 1 point. The more runs your player accumulates, the more points you earn!

Boundaries: Every boundary (4) adds 2 points to your fantasy score. A player who can consistently hit boundaries will contribute significantly to your total.

Sixes: Every six adds 4 points. Sixes are big for your team, so players who can clear the ropes are highly valuable!

Wickets: A bowler who takes a wicket earns 10 points. Wickets are the gold standard for fantasy cricket—key players who can take wickets regularly will help you climb the leaderboard.

Catches: Every catch a player takes on the field adds 5 points to your score. It’s not just about batting and bowling; fielding counts too!

Run Outs: A player involved in a successful run out earns 5 points. Whether it's a direct hit or a smart piece of fielding, run outs contribute to your fantasy points.

Penalty Actions:

Dismissals: If a player is dismissed for a duck (0 runs), they lose -5 points. Players who consistently get out for low scores can hurt your fantasy team.

Extras: When a bowler gives away extras (wide balls, no balls), you’ll lose -1 point for each wide or no ball.

Overthrows: If a player is involved in an overthrow, the team loses -1 point.

Bonus Actions:

Hat Trick: If a bowler takes three wickets in three consecutive deliveries, they earn a 15-point bonus.

Half-Century (50 Runs): A player scoring a half-century (50 runs) earns a 10-point bonus. It’s a major achievement that significantly boosts your fantasy score.

Century (100 Runs): A player scoring a century (100 runs) earns 25 bonus points. It’s rare but incredibly valuable for your fantasy team.

Five Wickets in an Innings: A bowler taking five wickets in a single innings earns a 20-point bonus.

The Balls System at Wicket Frontier is designed to reward players who contribute across all aspects of the game. Whether they’re batting, bowling, or fielding, their performance will directly affect your fantasy points. The more well-rounded your team, the better your chances of climbing the leaderboard!
